Settlement and Cultivation remains in Ballycoos

Settlement and Cultivation remains

What is recorded here

Medieval feet pressed into Ballycoos soil, dragging stones and planting rows that hunger demanded. The land gave back grain, strength and continuity. People lived there long enough to forget the first handler of the first seed.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Settlement and Cultivation remains. Recorded period: MED/L.MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
