Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Scarweather Lightship as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Scarweather Lightship was a vessel stationed off the Welsh coast to warn mariners of hazardous waters. It was lost in 1903 during a severe storm, resulting in the deaths of all seven crew members; its loss highlighted the dangers faced by lightship crews and contributed to later improvements in maritime safety and weather forecasting.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
