Scar Lathing is a sea cliff located in Cumberland, formed from Silurian-age volcanic and sedimentary rocks, including tuffs and slates, which were deposited around 440 to 420 million years ago. The cliff is notable for its exposure of ancient volcanic activity and the resulting resistant rock formations that have withstood coastal erosion.
