The *Saxon I* was a steam-powered vessel operating in the Firth of Clyde, likely involved in coastal trade or ferry services. It was lost in 1874 following a collision with the *Clydebank*, resulting in the sinking of the *Saxon I* and the loss of several lives; its wreck remains a notable site for maritime archaeology in Scottish waters.
