Sanday, Tres Ness

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Sanday, Tres Ness as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). It represents a significant example of prehistoric funerary architecture in the Orkney Islands, reflecting the ritual and social practices of early farming communities in northern Scotland.
