Saddell Abbey is associated with St. Moluag, an early Christian saint linked to the founding of monastic sites in Argyll. The holy well at Saddell is traditionally believed to have healing properties, particularly for skin ailments and general well-being, and was likely a site of pilgrimage during the medieval period.
