Ryecastle is an Iron Age settlement in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, recorded at a point accurate to the nearest metre. It is not a display hall or a modern attraction, but a buried human place where families may have cooked, argued, born children and died before written history existed. The ground still holds that much closer than any museum case.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Ryecastle as Settlement (iron Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Ryecastle was an Iron Age settlement in Scotland, occupied roughly between 800 BCE and 400 CE. It is remembered as an example of early Scottish hillfort architecture and rural habitation.
