Ruperra Castle Park in Rudry dates to the 17th Century, when castle grounds often mixed private pleasure with public spectacle. Its name suggests a place shaped for display, perhaps with gardens, drives or rooms arranged to impress visitors. Even if no building remains visible now, the park still carries that intention: a landscape made for being seen, remembered and walked.
