Rudha Bhidein is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of basaltic volcanic rock, formed during the Paleogene period, approximately 60 to 55 million years ago, as part of the North Atlantic Igneous Province. It is notable for its association with the widespread volcanic activity that shaped much of the Scottish and Irish coastlines during the opening of the North Atlantic Ocean.
