Roundhouse Farm, Nantyglo — Report the wrong picture

Joseph Bailey built two round iron towers at Roundhouse Farm after workers rioted over wage cuts, creating a private fortress inside a sandstone wall. One tower still stands with its wedge-shaped iron roof plates, while the other lost its upper stores when men stripped the cast iron during the 1940s. The contrast between preservation and plunder remains visible, turning a domestic retreat into a stark lesson about how quickly useful things become disposable.
