Yellow John's Cairn still sits in Divis, Altigarron, a round Bronze Age heap of stones that has watched the land for millennia. The name Yellow John sounds like a man, yet no such person is recorded, suggesting the cairn may have taken its identity from a forgotten keeper, a local legend, or a joke repeated until it became true. Whatever it marks, the stones remain arranged in a circle, waiting for someone to remember why they were piled there.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ROUND CAIRN: YELLOW JOHN'S CAIRN, YELLOW JACK'S CAIRN, CARN SHEAIN BHUIDHE. Recorded period: BRONZE AGE; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
