Rothiemay Castle, Mains of Rothiemay is a Post Medieval farmstead in Moray, Scotland, where ordinary life sustained the estate long before grandeur entered the story. It may have smelled of wood smoke, wet wool and bread, with hands busy from dawn until dark. The castle name came later, but the mains lived first, shaping the land and remembering the people who worked it.
