Roslin Castle was built in the late 13th century by William de Roslin, a prominent Scottish nobleman and ancestor of the Earls of Roslin. The castle is historically significant as the birthplace of the 17th-century architect William Bruce and for its association with the Roslin Chapel, known for its mysterious "Chamber of Secrets."
