This blue commemorative plaque records: The Rolls Hall Presented to the people of Monmouth by John Allan Rolls to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. Architect was F.A. Powell and the cost was £8,000. In 1992 it was converted from a public hall into a public library. Recorded plaque organisation: Monmouth Civic Society, Monmouth Town Council.
Rolls Hall, Monmouth, was gifted to the community by John Allan Rolls in honor of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887 and later converted into a public library in 1992.
