What is recorded here
Rockham Bay features a sea cliff composed mainly of Devonian slate and greywacke, formed around 400 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent metamorphism. The area is notable for its well-exposed coastal geology, which provides insights into the ancient marine environments of the Devonian period.
