What is recorded here

No stone remains where the survey claimed one, only empty pasture above Dingle Bay. The vanished cup and ring may have been buried, removed or never properly seen, turning a formal record into a ghost. That uncertainty does not weaken the place, it sharpens it. Memory itself has become the artifact, preserving a shape the land no longer shows.

A cup and ring stone measuring 5 foot (1.5m) x 2.5 feet (1.76m) is recorded on an index card of the Kerry Archaeological Survey, accompanied by a note expressing some doubt as to both its position and its authenticity.
