Rhyd-yr-Onen Castle was a medieval motte and bailey in Powys, Wales. Its earthen shape still marks the land, though the wooden halls and stone rooms have vanished. The site may have guarded a river crossing or served a local lord during turbulent centuries. Whatever its exact purpose, the mound remains as a quiet reminder that power once stood there before returning to soil and rain.
