Fort Victoria sat motionless inside the Harland & Wolff shipyard when two explosive charges struck her on 6 September 1990. The Provisional Irish Republican Army delivered the blow during the Troubles, yet no person died or suffered injury. The great hull shuddered, swallowed the violence and returned unchanged toward the open sea.
