Resurgam

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Resurgam as Wreck from the Ôl-ganoloesol period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Resurgam was a 19th-century steamship designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and built in 1865 as a self-righting lifeboat. It was lost in 1870 off the coast of Porthcawl, Wales, during a trial voyage when it capsized in heavy seas, resulting in the deaths of all 30 people on board.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
