Resugga Castle is a well-preserved hillfort in Cornwall where a broad rampart still stands beside the St Stephens River. People may have lived, traded or fled there during the later Bronze Age and Iron Age, using the steep valley as a natural shield. The small enclosure and outer banks suggest a place built to watch the approach rather than hide from it.
