Castlehill Gardens in Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland, still carries the shape of a medieval castle even though the gardens now take the lead. The old hill may have worn coats of arms, held guards or watched the valley, but it also gave people a place to walk, plant and remember. That change is not a loss. It is a castle learning to be a garden instead of a warning.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Renfrew, Castlehill Gardens as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Renfrew Castle, located on Castlehill Gardens, was originally built in the 12th century by the de Renzio family, later held by the Comyns and then the Earls of Lennox. It is historically significant as a key stronghold in the struggle for Scottish independence and was frequently besieged during the Wars of Scottish Independence.
