Round-headed dressed limestone gateway, built c. 1840, now blocked. Set in roughly dressed stone boundary wall.

This limestone gateway makes a positive contribution to the streetscape, due to the scale and form of the entrance and due to the materials utilised in it's construction. Though now blocked, this entrance led to the Religious Society of Friends Burial Ground, and it forms part of an interesting group of related religious structures with the meeting house to the north-east, the graveyard to the north and with the former sexton's house to the west.
