Redcastle, Haugh of Urr is a prehistoric standing stone in Dumfries and Galloway, recorded without a date or owner. It still rises beside the Urr, unchanged since before any human hand shaped it. The stone may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a warning, but no record preserves that purpose. What remains is a vertical presence in open ground, old enough to make human life seem like a recent addition.
