Castle Greg is a preserved Roman fortlet in West Lothian where two deep ditches and a standing rampart still mark a small military watchpost. It likely monitored the east-west road beneath the Pentlands during the first century, when open land let its guards watch toward the Fife coast. The name may descend from Camulosessa Præsidium, linking the stones to Camulos and the nearby village of Camilty.
