This blue commemorative plaque records: Built 1900-1901 by the Incorporated Seamen and Boatmens' Friend Society one of only two such boaters' missions surviving in the Black Country
Built as a boater's mission, this structure is one of only two remaining examples in the Black Country, reflecting the historical significance of canal transport and the support systems for workers during the early 20th century.
