Hensol Castle is a Gothic Revival mansion in the Vale of Glamorgan, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, now a wedding and conference venue. William Talbot added east and west wings around 1735, reportedly spending some £60,000, while later architects extended the house north and refashioned parts of the gothic into Perpendicular style. The estate dates from at least 1419, and the famous judge David Jenkins was born there, becoming a staunch royalist who refused to kneel before the House of Commons in 1648.
