One of six Ogham stones emerged in 1846 from an underground passage inside a Ballyhank ringfort, carrying the name MAQI-ESEA MAQI DOMANEQI and a line of enigmatic characters. The roughly squared stone still stands where human hands first shaped, buried or revealed it, while the other five stones continue the same interrupted conversation.

This is the present location of 1 of 6 ogham stones (CO085-067007- with CO085-067003-; CO085-067004-; CO085-067005-; CO085-067006-; CO085-067008-) discovered in 1846 built into Man-made underground passage (CO085-067002-), in the SW quadrant of a ringfort (CO085-067001-), at Ballyhank, Co. Cork. It is a roughly-squared stone (1.4m; 0.5m x 0.4m) with an inscription, which Macalister (1945, 98, no. 101) gave as MAQI-ESEA MAQI DOMANEQI. On the angle between the two which bear the main inscription are cut what Macalister (ibid.) describes as 'a line of enigmatic characters'.
