What is recorded here

The Civil survey (1654-6) mentions one stone house in good repair with out buildings at Little Cabra (Simington 1945, 133). The Hearth Money Rolls 1664mention a house at Little Cabra with nine chimneys (Cary 1930-33, 422) associated with the Seagrave family. They had moved there before 1619. In the early 18th-century a John Seagrave rebuilt on the site (Ball 1920, 110). This was probably Cabragh House, marked on the 1837 OS 6-inch map, a three-storey house of early 18th-century appearance (Bence-Jones 1897, 53). A housing estate occupies the site. No visible surface trace.
