Ballyroan still circles two lost pillar-stones, erased not by time but impatience. A farmer near Blandsfort House blew them away around 1915 because ploughing around them bothered him, stripping inscriptions that might have spoken for centuries. The ground keeps the shape of the wound: a clean absence where stone once stood. Forgetting began with a shovel, not.fade.
