Incorporated into the Stations of the Cross along a woodland walk in the grounds of St Patrick's Redemptorist Monastery (GA084-071001-) at Esker, Athenry. This cross-slab is incorporated into the 14th Station. It has a deeply cut V-sectioned border all around it and bears a ringed cross of three lines with plain straight ended terminals. This cross-slab likely dates to the early medieval period, possibly Christian in origin, and may have been repurposed for the Stations of the Cross in the 20th century. Its original religious or ceremonial use remains uncertain.
