Detached three-bay single-storey with attic level estate cottage/gate lodge, built c.1820, having a canted bay window to either side of central gable-fronted entrance porch (south elevation). Pitched natural slate roof (scalloped-shaped), having decorative ridge cresting, cast-iron rainwater goods, a central pair of rendered chimneystacks and having decorative bargeboards and timber finials to the gable ends. Roughcast rendered walls with square-headed window openings having timber sliding sash windows. Cut stone hoodmouldings over the window openings to the gable ends (east and west). Round-headed doorway behind projecting porch having a timber door and a plain overlight. Timber bargeboards and timber finial to front face of porch. Set back from road in own grounds to the west of Tullynally Castle (154003021). Wrought-iron railings to the front and a gateway adjacent to the west having moulded stone piers and wrought-iron railings. Located to the west of Castlepollard within Tullynally Demesne.
