What is recorded here

Situated on the N end of a rocky terrace c. 70m SE of Cashlaungarr (CL010-057----). Listed as ‘Rectangular enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). Indicated by a solid line on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. On inspection in 1999 this was found to be a subrectangular enclosure defined by an apparently modern drystone wall except at NNW where natural rock forms the boundary. Referred to by Westropp (1896, 153) as a ‘straight-sided enclosure’ that may have been for cattle. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 22 March 2016
