Architectural fragment in Tullyallen

One small sandstone stoup, no larger than a child’s cup, is set into the graveyard wall at Tullyallen. It probably dates from the late medieval period and stands among three others nearby. People may have dipped fingers into its water before prayer, carrying clean memory into church. The stone still holds that repeated gesture, smooth where nervous hands kept returning.
