What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen fort in County Cavan, Ireland, enclosing a raised area twenty-eight point six metres across. A low bank, shallow infilled ditch and southern counterscarp still mark its boundary, while grassed boulders and a small stone cairn remain inside. The original entrance has vanished, leaving the ring to suggest rather than declare what it guarded or who entered it.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 28.6m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a narrow, shallow, infilled fosse surrounded by a low counterscarp bank at SW. A series of largely grassed-over boulders are visible in the bank at N and a low field-clearance cairn of stones lies within the internal area. Original entrance not recognisable.
