Situated at Toureen Peacaun holy well (TS075-023005-) where the stone has been built into the top of the enclosing wall. It is described by Okasha and Forsyth (2001, 281-2) as a small slab (H c. 0.15m; Wth c. 0.19m; T c. 0.09m) and is 'an incomplete slab of irregular shape, broken along its bottom edge. The back of the slab is plain. Incised in the middle of the front face is a linear Latin cross which extends to the broken edge'. It is listed as Toureen Peacaun 35 (ibid.). Probably medieval in date, the cross-slab may have been part of a Christian memorial or waymark associated with the holy well, reflecting the spiritual significance of the site. Such stones often carried symbolic or devotional functions within a local Christian tradition.
