Tobernakilla — Templebryan North

Holy well

Why this matters

Tobernakilla is traditionally associated with Saint Nathy (Naomh Nátháin), a 7th-century Irish saint known for his ascetic practices and numerous holy wells linked to healing. The well's name, derived from "Tobar Naithí," reflects its connection to him, and such sites were often visited for cures, particularly for eye ailments and general well-being, with rituals involving the collection of water at specific times.
