Tobermuire — Rockspring

Holy well

Why this matters

Linked to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the well at Tobermuire—Rockspring was a site of Marian devotion, with pilgrims traditionally visiting for healing and prayer. The stone enclosure and multiple shrines suggest a long-standing Catholic tradition, possibly dating back to pre-Reformation times, with the site continuing to be venerated into the modern period.
