Inscribed stone in Toberelva is an inscribed stone in Toberelva, County Roscommon, Ireland. The limestone slab commemorates James and Mary Plunkett of Castleplunkett, who built the church in 1723. It originally stood in a niche above the doorway but now lies inside that same opening.

On a slight S-facing slope. Originally set in a niche on the outer face of the W wall over the doorway of church (RO027-029001-), it has fallen out and now lies in the doorway. Limestone slab (dims 1.05m x 0.5m; T 0.15-0.2m) with a raised inscription commemorating James and Mary Plunkett of Castleplunkett, who built the church in 1723. It reads: IHS / PRAY FOR Y SOU / LES OF JAMES / PLUNKETT OF CAS / TLEPLUNKETT ESQ / AND MARY PLUNKE / ALs CUSACK HIS WI / FE WHO CAUSED TY / CHAPPLE TO BE / BUILT FOR A BURIAL / PLACE FOR THEM / SELVES AND TH / EIR FAMILY ANNO / DMi 1723 Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
