Toberanearla (1924). — Report the wrong picture

Toberanearla is a forgotten holy well hidden in a Limerick pasture, where loose stones still guard a muddy depression beneath dense vegetation. It vanished from local memory and even escaped the first official maps, suggesting the community stopped visiting before record-keepers arrived. The well may have waited patiently for people to remember that water and story belong together.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Well located at SW end of natural ovoid depression (10m NE-SW; 8m NW-SE; D 0.85m) where loose setting of stones encloses muddy area (1.4m NE-SW; 1.2m NW-SE.
