What is recorded here

Located at the outer edge of the lowest terrace overlooking the floodplain on the N bank of a W-E section of the River Boyne. An aerial photograph (GB89.L.13) shows an arc of an enclosure that is also visible on OSI images (1995). This has a diameter of c. 30m and is defined by a single fosse feature that might be composed of contiguous pits and is only visible E-S-W, as was reported by Conor Brady (pers. com.). It could be a timber circle.  Revised by: Michael Moore Date of revised upload: 08 October 2025
