The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Enclosed strip of land along E side of River Barrow with no visible evidence of structure. Large number of headstones of eighteenth and later centuries. According to Burns (Carloviana 1973, 14), granted in 1607 to local Catholics for burial purposes.
