In Rathcormack to E of Shanowen river. Indicated as long rectangular structure (long axis N-S) named flour mill on 1842 OS 6-inch map with mill race approaching mill from E, running through centre of mill structure. Mill is a rectangular, 4-storey, 6-bay structure, date plaque on E elevation 'Rathcormack Mills 1833'. According to local information, wheel-pit in centre of building covered over. Mill in use until 1960s, still inoccasional use. Low modern buildings surround mill. At S end is stone built addition indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map, 3-bay, 3-storey but similar in height to mill; now functions as dwelling house.
