What is recorded here

This site, marked as a circular enclosure on the first edition of the OS map, was located on a low E-W ridge overlooking Lough Currane to the S. The fields in the immediate vicinity have been amalgamated and the area is now devoted to pasture. No surface trace of the enclosure survives but its location is marked by a stony spread which averages 20m in diameter. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
