Terraced three-bay two-storey house, c.1830. Renovated, c.1880, with render façade enrichments added. Reroofed, c.1930. Refenestrated, c.1980. Pitched roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1930, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered profiled piers, c.1880, to ends. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, rendered surrounds, c.1880, and replacement aluminium casement windows, c.1980. Square-headed door opening with rendered panelled pilaster surround, c.1880, having frieze, and moulded entablature over. Replacement glazed aluminium door, c.1980. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.

A well-proportioned modest-scale house retaining its original form and massing, together with later decorative rendered embellishments of artistic design quality. However, the inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings do not enhance the external expression of the composition. An integral component of the streetscape, the house contributes to the varied roofscape along Chapel Street (Capel Street), rising above the flanking ranges in the terrace.
