This blue commemorative plaque records: The Dolly Field, Horatio Street In 1883-84 this was Sunderland AFC's fourth ground. Appley Terrace and Givens Street now stand on the pitch which ran along Cooper Street. The Club won its first trophy here and used The Wolsey as its changing rooms. Recorded plaque organisation: Sunderland Association Football Club.
The Dolly Field served as Sunderland AFC's ground from 1883-84 where the club secured its first trophy; the site is now occupied by Appley Terrace and Givens Street.
