Structure — peatland in Tomisky

Structure — peatland

What is recorded here

This possible structure (L 3.18m; Wth 1.26m; D 0.14m) consisted of a sparse deposit of fifteen pieces of fragmentary brushwood and twigs. All of the elements were broken and little appeared to be in situ due to disturbance by modern drainage and agriculture. However, the wood was in good condition. One artifact, a fragment of finely dressed brushwood was recovered adjacent to it; the only other woodworking evidence was a single metal-cut toolmark. The structure was located 2m S of a togher (LF004-051----) and 4m ENE of another possible structure (LF004-053----) (Moore and O'Connor 2009b, 16, TOM 5).
