Plean Tower is a 15th-century tower house near Stirling where Robert Bruce once granted lands to John d’Erth. James Somervell sold it in 1643 to clear debts, and Jacobite troops later occupied it during the 1745 rebellion. Nancy and John Patrick Wright rebuilt it from ruins between 1991 and 1997, turning a forgotten castle into a living home.
