Lanrick Castle

Ruins

What is recorded here

Lanrick Castle stood beside the River Teith as a late 18th-century country house for the Haldane family before passing to the MacGregors, but a 1994 fire stripped it of its roof and spirit. Alistair Dickson demolished what remained in 2002 despite legal protection, paying a mere thousand pounds while the MacGregor Monument still watches the water like a stone tree waiting for people who never return.
Lanrick Castle is shown as a ruins on the public map of Stirling. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
