Knockinhaglish

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Knockinhaglish as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1km. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to Saint Fillan, Knockinhaglish Holy Well is associated with traditional Celtic Christian pilgrimage and healing practices. Locally, it was believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, with rituals often involving the collection of water at dawn.
