Castleton is a Neolithic and Bronze Age cup and ring marked rock in Stirling, Scotland. Its exact point is known within ten metres, yet the marks still belong to people who left no written name behind. Perhaps they pressed tools into stone during storms, weddings or arguments now lost. The cups remain visible while their meanings withdraw like tide water.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton as Cup and Ring Marked Rock (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
